I always thought I would stay with my dog photography, but I have to say that cats are amazing to use for this project. Plus they don't drool all over me and my lenses! Hahaha
The silence that they bring with them is so peaceful. If they don't want they just turn the head the other way. Their majestic behavior and the arrogant look in the eyes are amazing. The details in the eyes, fur and whiskers are taken my take my breath away when I photograph.
I have 6 cats... crazy names that I already told in the blog last year. For the ones that missed that part... I called them all after a Chinese dish! And no they don't bother at all. Every single cat has her/his own character, but still living as a pack together. Ok that was the dog person in me again... a pack, do you call a few cats together also a pack? I have to search for that answer. But you know what I mean.
Every single cat has his/her own routine every day again. It's funny to watch them and knowing that Wokkie will sleep on the table every morning, TjapTjoy will start to hunt and comes back in 2 hours with her first gift for me, most of the times a mouse. In the mean time Loempia sits in the garden and watch the sky, trees and birds. Sambal is visiting the neighbour cat, and he knows the cat don't like him! Nasi was outside but came back for another hour sleep. And at least but not last... Typan is walking trough the whole neighbourhood... I don't like that at all by the way! I see that all the cats come back inside when it rains and at 21 PM, because it's dinner time... And I know who owns which place in the house for sleeping at night. Strange animals, but I love them all!
My photographer friends are doing a Thankful month... photographing what they are thankful for. Maybe I should join them today... I'm thankful for my cats!
