This is Cracker, he is my mate, my shadow, my friend and my partner in crime. He is were I am and joins me through the day.
Everyone needs a friend in their life. A person were you can count on. Or how Meridith Grey and Christina Yang in Grey's Anatomy will say "You are my person". Everyone need a own "My person"!!
I have two persons in my life... both stayed with me in the past year! You two know who you are and thank you for being there al the time!
I'm in a periode of my life that I'm thinking a lot about that. I had a tough time past year owing to circumstances and learned what my real friends were. Real friends stay and the others leaving. That's normal in life, but you didn't thought about that when you were little and going to school?! In that part of you life you think the whole class is full of friends. And you rule the world!
But when you get older you see the differences between friends and "friends". A handfull of people stays around you no matter what happens.
You thought you had a great friend, he/she needed you a long time because she had problems and issues in their lifes... you were there all the time... till you had yourself a problem and suddenly they don't have time and that was that. It's a life lesson a way of life that every single person has in their lifes.
And than there is Facebook... OMG you suddenly have a lot of friends. People from highschool and even kindergarden or a friend that you didnn't see since that one time vacation. You barely remember their names but they remember you! In the beginning is was surprised and liked it a lot. But after a while I noticed that they just want to know how succesfull you are in life now. They don't ask how you are doing, how your life is and how you are feeling that day. No they just want to know if you are better than they are in their lifes. So when I noticed that I removed them all from my Facebook! I feeled reliefed!
I made a lot of new friends on Facebook! A little group of women with the same passion as me. A few over a fanpage "McLeod's Daughters", the life here in the Netherlands, Germany, Australia and the US. We never met but we can talk for hours about our passion and have fun about it. You guys know who you are and thank you for being a part of my life!
And than I have met a little group of women, all from the US, and I true-hearted tell you all... these are my friends! We talk with each other every single day. They are the first persons, after my husband that I say Good Morning and are the last ones on my day that hear/read Good Night! We all have one thing in our lifes... Photography! We chat since a year now and I'm very happy to have them in my life. I hear you thinking... talking about photos, cameras and optics every single day... No! We also have our husbands, kids, work, households, trips and other stuff to talk about. We talk with a laugh and a tear! But a lot of laughing.... yeah ok and photography!
It's sad they live all far far away, but because we talk so much with each other it's like they are close to me. And who knows... mayby... maybe I will met them soon!
I truly can tell these are my far away but also close by persons!
Thank you for your friendships crazy ladies!! Love ya!
