I was thinking what to do today and I choosed for follow one of the cats and this time Tjap Tjoy.
5 years back one of the neighbours had again 2 kitten litters, born at 1-4-2010, and he asked me if I wanted to help searching for new owners. So I asked a lot of people and a few said yes. But when the kittens were 5 weeks old the neighbour told me to get them all the same day because they started to run all over the place and it was dangerous for them between the cows and with the road next to the stables. So I went there with a basket and catched them all.... 14 kittens. Way too early and too young to leave the mothers but there was no other way to get it safe for them. I fed them for 1 week by hand and after that they could eat by them selfs. After I get rid of all the fleas and worms I let them in my kitchen and living room to get social. Because they were like wild cats. In 2 or 3 days the kittens were social and runned all over the place. It was so much fun but also a crazy time. I went to the vet for a microchip and their vacinations and after that I called the people that they could get their new pet... And there was the problem... only 2 of this "friends" took one, the other ones told me "ohh was that serious, no thanks". 12 kittens that needed new homes as soon as possible... great! After a few adds in the local petstores and on the internet there were 3 kittens left. Typan, Tjap Tjoy and Loempia. For the Dutch readers... yes that are their names... hahaha. All three stayed with us and after I let them help at the vet (spay & neuter) the door opened and they had a inside and outside life.
Tjap Tjoy was never a cat that loves to pet, never somes sit with us or these kind of things. She is a happy mouse catcher and since a month or 6 she became more a pet. I think because she is getting older...
Today I followed her with the camera, thank god she had a lazy day and didn't get out for hunting hahahaha
