Whooohoo day 250!! Only 165 left.... Can't believe it and still using the Lensbabies every day! Ok I have to admit... it's an addiction! Ones you start with Lensbaby you can't stop. Either you hate it or you totally love it. I'm the one in group 2. I love it!
Every single optic has his own special thing that I love. The Sweet35 gives such gorgeous bokeh, the Sweet50 is my favorite for portraits and movement with the dogs. The Edge80 is amazing with sunflares, the Soft Focus Optic is so delicate and dreamy. And don't forget the Circulair Fisheye! This lens gives me a lot of creativity and funny things to do with. Single Glass and Plastic are fun to play with. The pinhole is still a huge challenge for me and I need to practice more with that one. And now since a few weeks I have the Velvet56... A dream lens!
I'm a macro girl and Lensbaby has a lot of ways to do macro with all the optics. The filters, converters and now the Velvet56 with macro on it are great to work with.
Today I took photo's of Sambal again, he likes to pose for me, but no flash with this guy, he hates it! And with the Lensbaby you don't need the flashlight. They are so light sensitive and thats very nice to work with in the evenings and nights.
It's been 2 years now that I bought my first Lensbaby, the spark. I like that lens, it's not easy to shoot with but it has a lot of opportunities and a lot of practice. Squeezing a lens is weird to do in the beginning, but you have to do it for the special effects that it gives. Movement is a challenge with the Spark, and the first times I tried it, the results were terrible!
That's Lensbaby, practice, practice and practice. It's better to use a new optic a week or 2 and maybe 3 weeks, every single day to get used to it and learn how to use it. If you do that, you noticed that it becomes normal to use it. After a few weeks you don't think anymore but just shoot!
Still thinking if you want a Lensbaby and have questions about it? No problem! You can always send me a email or call me for more information. And if you living in my area, come over! Coffee and Lensbabies are ready!
