The Love Couple on world trip

    May 10, 2016

A year ago I bought the Love Couple, or how other people would call it

the Dutch kissing couple or Kissing farmers.

With a group of other photographers we had the idea to send them on a trip. Everyone would get it and take pictures and send it to the next person. Unfortunately after the first one got it a few of the group dropped out. So the trip wouldn't be that long as we thought it would be. But the fun was still there.

Before I send them Away I took some pics myself

So on May the 16th 2015 I brought the package to the mail office and send it to Maria Small of Smallm Photography in North Eastern Pennsylvania.

The Love Couple travelled to North Eastern Pennsylvania to visit me all the way from the Netherlands! I had all kinds of plans to show them everything in the area, but due to their fragile constitutions, we only took a few short trips.

First they helped to make jam from the fresh strawberries I picked. The store didn't have the usual pectin we use for the jam, so we improvised and learned that sticking with the original is much preferred.  But we still had fun, and ate lots of strawberries!

Next, we visited my own backyard just after sunrise.  We found a large mushroom that seemed to have grown over night just for them!

The Love Couple begged to come along on a visit to the bookstore, and found a cozy niche for their favorite activity on one of the shelves.  They (and I) didn't want to leave with so many fabulous titles to be explored, but we tore ourselves away to continue our adventures.

I showed them the new fence my husband and I were building around our blueberry bushes, and while they were not able to assist in the building, the Love Couple christened  the new fence with lasting love.

My Mother-in-Law hosted an all-American picnic during their stay with me, and graciously agreed to have them join us.  Everyone agreed that the Dutch have the best manners.

On a few occasions, I could not seem to find them at all, but eventually discovered the Love Couple's favorite location - kissing amongst the ferns in the woods.

All in all, we had a lovely visit, and I would be happy to see them again.

After Maria had the Love couple for a moment she send them to Lori Stead of Wet Silver Photography in Corpus Christi Texas.

I was excited to have the love couple arrive! I pictured myself at the beach with them, building them a castle in the sand, setting them up, and waiting for the sun to rise over them. But life got busy and four kids made my love couple fantasy impossible. Realizing I'd already had them a week, I decided I'd better get some pretty pictures of them while they were visiting, so we went to the back yard for inspiration. While I am satisfied with their pictures from their visit to Corpus Christi, Texas, I am also sad that they didn't get to experience sunrise at the beach. But who knows? Maybe they'll visit again one day...

After Lori had the couple for her photos she send them to Beth Moses of Beth Moses Photography in The Woodlands, Texas.

The love couple and I went shopping and we adopted a love cat and a love dog to travel the world together. Then we went to the Arboretum and saw beautiful flowers and plants. We had plenty of amazing photos taken there.

Beth send them to Milissia Mott from Missy's Memories. All the way in Houma, LA.

We drove down "da baya" to Cocodrie, LA, to the Gulf of Mexico... we stopped at some very old Live Oak Trees...

Milissia send them to Radhika Palwai from Radhika P. Photography in Washington DC, Virginia

The love couple and their pets visited Virginia. I thought of giving them a tour of DC, but I did not get a chance. I was making dinner and saw the beautiful light in my backyard. It had just stopped raining and sun came out. I thought the love couple would love to have romance at sunset. I hope they had a good time. From here they are going back to Chantal's house in The Netherlands. Bye bye Love Couple.

The couple came back to me!

It's a pitty that the trip here in the blog isn't complete... we still miss a few photos of two photographers....
